During the development of our Happymami bottles and after studying all available materials, we decided to use 100% medical grade silicone of the highest quality for both the nipple and the cup. A material subjected to strict quality controls that offers multiple advantages, certified by quality tests carried out by the Intertek laboratory in accordance with European standards.

Being medical silicone and not plastic, our Happymami bottles are totally safe for your baby. They are free of BPA, BPF and BPS as well as other toxins that can be found in plastic bottles. In addition, being medical silicone, the cup, if dropped, does not break, as happens with glass bottles.

Of course, one of the biggest enemies during the infant stage is newborn colic. For this reason, all our teats, regardless of their design, have a double anti-colic system. In addition, this system is included in the teat itself, so that it works in any position in which the bottle is placed. This format integrated in the teat the anti-colic system gives you greater ease, since it is not necessary to disassemble and reassemble after use, and does not require special brushes for cleaning. After an exhaustive search for the best bottle warmer for our Happymami bottles, we have selected the Philips Avent quick bottle warmer, which you can find here.

To carry out the design we have created a format that we call “One to One”, an accompanied design process. Throughout the design process, you will have the explanation by section of how to design and what to select in that section. In addition, if you have any doubts about your design you have the option to answer a few questions after which we will tell you which design is right for you. And even if necessary, you have whatsapp direct to our team of midwives who will be happy to advise you. It is so carefully developed that most of the times that moms consult us after making their design, we make a new design with it and it is the same as the one they had made. Of course, all our bottles are microwave safe. Remember that the maximum temperature for cups and teats is 180º and for rings and stoppers it is 120º. If you use steam pouches for microwave sterilization, follow the manufacturer’s recommendations.

We do not advise you to heat the milk in the microwave, as they do not heat evenly. In addition, clinical studies confirm that microwaving can alter the nutritional value of breast milk or formulas.

You are in luck, our biebrons are completely dishwasher safe. However, place them on the top shelf to avoid them being close to the heating coils.

In addition, we have designed all glasses with a wide opening so that you can easily clean the glass by hand if you want to.

First of all, it is not necessary to sterilize the bottle, it is not necessary to boil or sterilize the bottles. Both bottles and nipples should be washed like the rest of the dishes, manually or in a washing machine with soap and water, making sure that no milk remains. (Current recommendation of the AEPED)

But in case after reading this information you are still thinking about sterilizing Happymami bottles, these are the compatible sterilizers.

There are many opinions about the frequency of sterilization. From Happymami and following the recommendations of the WHO and AEPED, it is not necessary to sterilize the bottle, it is not essential to boil or sterilize the bottles. Both bottles and nipples should be washed like the rest of the dishes, manually or in a washing machine with soap and water, making sure that no milk remains.

The material of the teats and cup is of the highest quality and depends on how you use your Happymami. Our recommendation, and for greater comfort when using the nipples and greater efficiency, is that you use at least 2 nipples per flow stage, changing them every 2 months, with the optimum being 4 nipples per flow stage.

For hygiene and safety reasons, it is advisable to replace the nipple after 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the frequency of use. Change it as soon as the first signs of deterioration appear.The stages we have are 3, from 0-3 months (slow flow), from 3-6 months (medium flow) and more than 6 months (fast flow).

If in your case it is not possible to have 2 nipples per flow or to change them every 2 months, do not worry, we use top quality medical silicone and they will withstand an important use. And regarding the glass, we recommend using at least 2 glasses per stage, so you will have the best result and maximum efficiency.

Happymami bottles are fully compatible with formula milk, including cereals and baby food. Our recommendation is that you take the flow that corresponds to your baby’s age.

That is a running theory with which we do not agree and I will tell you why.

In order to develop our Happymamis, we study breastfeeding as a whole.

Breast milk ejection, outflow at each stage, baby’s suckling, baby’s needs …. And from there we developed our flows.

So if you have a 4 month old baby and you put him/her on a 2 month old baby flow, what is probably more at risk is that your baby will reject the bottle 🤗.

That is why our recommendation is that you take the flow that corresponds to your baby’s age, and follow the guidelines that we will give you when you make your purchase so that your baby takes the bottle without affecting your breastfeeding.
